RIVERSIDE, Calif.- Finishing the Lancer Invite on Saturday Oct. 7, Concordia University Irvine men's water polo team took on Cuesta College (Exhibition) and Westcliff University at 2:10 p.m. 

The match against Cuesta College did not count for NCAA DII. However, CUI won the exhibition match 12-8 and moved onto the next game of the day. 

Against Westcliff University, the overall leader for CUI was Jace Peterson with 3 goals. The offense was spread out with Carlos Olat and Relja Mitic scoring two goals each as well. By the end of the third period, the Golden Eagles and the Warriors were neck and neck. Shots were made left and right. Stan De Mey, Dawson Brummett, Sam Diamond, Harry Bentham, and Kaliq Khan added more goals to the board. 

The Warriors may have found their rhythm, but Jace Peterson moved forward with two clutch goals in the last few minutes of the game. With a final score of 14-12, Westcliff University won. 

The Golden Eagles are on the hunt for their next win. CUI men's water polo plays their next games against Chapman and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, Oct. 14.
