Schulz Named PacWest Player of the Week For Third Time This Season

IRVINE, Calif. – Senior Kirra Schulz continues to impress as she has earned her third PacWest Player of the Week this season after a dominate performance this past week.

The San Clemente, Calif. Native has broken another CUI record after breaking it earlier in the year. Schulz recorded 34 kills in 5 sets against Azusa Pacific beating her own record of 29 when playing on the road at Azusa Pacific. She managed to earn her fifteenth double-double this season in kills and digs.

While making her mark again in the record book she also had an impressive hitting percentage of .397 as she continued to be unstoppable on the offense against the Cougars and giving CUI 36 points alone.

CUI was on the road earlier in the week and played against Fresno Pacific where she tallied another 18 kills and nine digs throughout the match.

The Golden Eagles have a busy week ahead as they have three games with two on the road starting with Westmont on Tuesday Nov. 11 with a start time of 7 p.m. CUI will have their last home game of the season on Thursday Nov. 16 against Biola while honoring their seniors prior to game time at 7 p.m. They will conclude the regular season at Point Loma on Saturday Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
