SAN DIEGO, Calif. – After CUI women's basketball team earned its first conference win on Wednesday against Biola, the Golden Eagles headed down south to play another PacWest opponent in Point Loma. The Sea Lions took an early lead and won with a final score 82-54.
Senior
Savannah Felix-Amoroso led the Golden Eagles in scoring and posted an efficient 8-for-11 from the field while collecting nine rebounds. The Catalina Island, Calif. native recorded a career-high of 19 points Saturday. Freshman
Izzy Navarro and
Camryn Kiernan both tallied eight points and three rebounds each. Navarro finished with four assists and Kiernan added two.
Junior
Erika Maggard contributed six points and two blocks throughout the game. Freshman
Hannah Vela was active on the defensive side of the ball for CUI as she recorded four of the 12 steals for the Green and Gold.
The Golden Eagles will be back in the CU Arena for the start of a five game stanza as they take on Dominican Saturday Dec. 16 with a 2 p.m. start time.
