LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine beach volleyball team finished their three day stanza in the Battle of LA tournament. The Golden Eagles had some tough competition and played against No. 6 Grand Canyon and No. 8 LMU.
 
CUI is stepping up the challenge and playing against another two ranked teams Sunday. In the third slot Ostojic and Smith put up a battle against GCU as they won the first set 28-26 and went the distance going to three. Fours duo Prewitt and Lemoine came back after dropping the first set and dominated in the second by a 21-14 score. The Lopes made adjustments and were able to close out the third set and taking the win over the Golden Eagles.
 
The Green and Gold played against No. 8 LMU for the third time this season and the Lions closed out the match defeating CUI.

The Golden Eagles will host Cal State LA and Vanguard on Friday Mar. 17 at the Great Park with slated times at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
