GLENDORA, Calif.- CUI's women's water polo team went up to Citrus College to play against APU which resulted in a win for the Green and Gold in overtime minutes. A second game against Marist College was in play before it got cut short due to the weather.

The first quarter of the game brought five goals scored for CUI and three for APU. Goals came from
Nicole Tormey, two from
Kim Reidel, and two from
Madison Ravelo. The second quarter brought goals from
Tamsyn Evezard and a penalty shot from Ravelo. At the half time mark the score is tied at 7-7.

The two teams trade goals throughout the third making it 10-9 before the fourth. Evezard adds one more and
Jericho Callender adds two to the board. Evezard starts off the fourth quarter with a goal for CUI. APU catches up with two goals to make it tied 11-11 creating overtime quarters. Two over time quarters and 3 goals from Ravelo and Reidel later…CUI takes the win 14-12!
Single assists came from Evezard,
Allyson Corbett, and
Tatiana Cava. Two came from Ravelo and four from
Emily Tucker. Cava played all 38 minutes in the net and collected 12 saves.Â
Next the Golden Eagles play against UCI in Irvine on Friday March 17 at 7:00 pm.Â
