IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University men's volleyball team hosted Daemen University for the first time in program history on Wednesday night. The Golden Eagles handed the Wildcats their second loss of their season and won in three straight with scores 25-19, 25-19, and 25-22.
 
Middle Maxwell McCullough had three kills and led the Green and Gold with four aces marking a career-high for the sophomore. Makai Lipson dished out 24 assists and dug up seven from right back.
 
Freshman Gage Doble made his return on the court and put down 10 kills while hitting an impressive .350. Doble added five digs from the back and one ace. Uriel Batista led CUI with 13 kills and hit .393 while serving up two aces. Johnny Anselmo was all over the back court marking a career-high of 13 digs alongside libero Jacob Reilly with six.

The Golden Eagles took control of the first two sets and did not allow the Wildcats to come back into the game. In the third Daemen slowly came within a couple points but a kill from McCullough and a hitting error from the Wildcats sealed the three set victory.
 
The Golden Eagles will continue MPSF play as they travel to take on Grand Canyon in back-to-back nights starting Friday Mar. 24 and Saturday Mar. 25 with start times at 6 p.m.
