IRVINE, Calif. – Three up and three down.
The Concordia University Irvine men's tennis squad secured its third straight win with a 7-0 dismantling of future PacWest opponent Westmont on Saturday.
Freshman
Adam Kartzinel teamed up with
Adrian D'Aoust to help win the doubles point for the Golden Eagles. That pairing was victorious 6-4 in No. 3 doubles and joined No. 2 doubles partners
Alex Edmonston and
Julius Seifert on the winning side to start the day.
CUI swept all six singles matches with Edmonston and Seifert again taking care of business at the No. 2 and No. 4 spots respectively.
Leon Czarnikau won for the third straight outing at the No. 1 singles position, while
Mike Jansen followed suit with the same outcome at No. 3 singles.
Tim Nutz aided the cause with a win at No. 5 singles in straight sets and
Adam Large closed it out with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 6 spot.
Next up for the 49th ranked team in the ITA DII rankings is a date with Azusa Pacific on the road on Friday. March 31 at 2:30 p.m.
