STANFORD, Calif. – The CUI men's volleyball team finished another MPSF series against Stanford on Saturday night. The Golden Eagles fought but Stanford came out with another win in three sets with scores 25-21, 25-16, and 25-20.
Middles
Gil Herold and
Cole Vigo both had four kills while Vigo led the Golden Eagles defensively up at the net with four block assists. Libero
Jacob Reilly scooped up his sixth double digit game with 11 digs from the back row with setter
Makai Lipson dishing out 27 assists.
Outside hitter
Gage Doble led the Green and Gold for the second night with 10 kills alongside
Uriel Batista with seven and digging up five.
Johnny Anselmo had three kills and four digs with
Connor Dell adding six kills.
The Golden Eagles move to 7-15 (1-7 MPSF) and will host No. 8 Pepperdine on Thursday Apr. 6 at 7 p.m. before heading to Malibu, Calif. to complete the series against Pepperdine on Saturday Apr. 8 with a 6 p.m. start time.
