Golden Eagles Twist The Lions Tail

IRVINE, Calif. –The Golden Eagles matched up with No. 15 Loyola Marymount at their last home game of the season but fell short by a score of 16-6.
 
Starting in the net with 12 saves was Tatiana Cava. Cava played 28 minutes before Kylie Van Leeuwen made an appearance with one steal in the final three minutes.
 
Nicole Tormey went a perfect 4-for-4 on the sprints to gain possession at the start of each quarter. Twenty seconds into the game, Tamsyn Evezard found the back of the net quickly with an assist from Tormey. Then with twenty seconds left in the first quarter, Emily Tucker added another goal to the board.

Tucker did it against just five minutes later but this time with the help of a great pass from Madison Ravelo.
 
Ravelo scored a goal off a pass from freshman Allyson Corbett in the third quarter.

In the last period, Ravelo scored the fifth goal of the contest for CUI with an assist from Evezard. The team's last goal came from Corbett off a pass from Tormey.

CUI rounds out its regular season schedule over the next few days. That includes a trip to Pacific for the final conference game before the upcoming GCC Tournament.
