SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Concordia University Irvine women's water polo team started off the GCC Championships playing against No. 24 San Diego State. These two teams just played each other earlier in March and the Golden Eagles came close in that match-up and were looking for a rematch. The Aztecs finished the game outscoring CUI with a score of 15-8.
 
Andie Perreira started the game strong with a goal assisted by 
Emily Tucker. 
Madison Ravelo ends the quarter with 
Allyson Corbett assisting. 
Nicole Tormey wins the sprint to start the second quarter and assists a goal by 
Paige Henson just one minute later. Ending the period again, Ravelo flies a shot passed the goalie.
 
Nicole wins the sprint off once again going into the third quarter. Ravelo finds the back of the net not once, but two times back to back at the end of the quarter with assists from Tucker and 
Whitney Lee. The last quarter brought one goal each from 
Kim Reidel and Henson with assists from 
Allie Gaetano and 
Cecilia Smith. Gaetano, Ravelo, and Tormey had one steal each. 
Tatiana Cava played all 32 minutes in the net and had eight saves.
