IRVINE Calif.- Senior outside hitter Kirra Schulz from the CUI women's volleyball team was named to the All-PacWest Preseason team for the first time in her career, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
The San Clemente, Calif. native has earned All-PacWest honors for the past two consecutive years. In 2022, Schulz led the Golden Eagles in kills at 362 with a hitting percentage of .225, placing her second in conference and earning herself a spot on First-Team All-PacWest. Again in 2021, Schulz was given an All-PacWest honor after recording 308 kills with a .204 hitting percentage helping her team finish 11-2 with 20 wins that year.
 
Also returning this year is Kennedy Farley, the junior outside/opposite hitter was second on the team in kills and earned academic honors for All-PacWest for the second time in her career. Farley racked up 210 kills, 28 aces, and 152 digs in her sophomore season as a Golden Eagle.
 
The Green and Gold are projected No. 4 in conference, as voted by head coaches of the PacWest this year. Schulz and Golden Eagles begin the 2023 season next week at the Golden Eagles Invitational on Thursday, Aug. 31^st through Saturday Sept. 2 in the CU Arena. CLICK HERE for the full schedule.
