Irvine, Calif.- The Concordia University Irvine women's volleyball team put up a tough fight against No.4 Wayne State. The Wildcats put up an impressive .385 hitting percentage while the Golden Eagles held them off till the very end. CUI are currently 1-1 in the Golden Eagle Invitational.

Leaders for CUI were
Kennedy Farley with 8 kills,
Kirra Schulz with 6 kills, and true freshman
Kayden Croy with 5 kills. The true freshman came in hot in the third set for the Golden Eagles, hitting a .500 for her first ever set played for the Green and Gold.
Alyson Fullbright led the team in assists with 14 with
Kawehi Chang close behind with 10 assists.

CUI women's volleyball returns tomorrow at 11:30am against Cal. State East Bay and again at 4:30pm against the University of Colorado Colorado-Springs in the CU Arena.
