IRVINE, Calif. - Finally, after the first scheduled home opener was canceled due to inclement weather, the Golden Eagles women's tennis team got to compete against the Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles.

Starting the day out, both teams competed in doubles. Riding the momentum from one game to the next, CUI was on fire winning all of their matches against CSULA. Starting the day with a perfect 3-0.

Heading into the singles, CUI wanted to stay perfect, and perfection was almost achieved. With only one game dropped by CUI in the singles competitions, the true Golden Eagles showed who was boss in the home opener. The women's team swept CSULA winning 7-0 in the contest.
