MALIBU, Calif.- The CUI beach volleyball team went 1-1 in Friday afternoon's matches as they battled in Malibu against the Pepperdine Waves and the Colorado Mesa Mavericks. CUI went 1-4 with the Waves and 4-1 against the Mavericks.

In the matches against the Waves flight one, Kali Uhl and Kelissa Lemoine, completely dominated taking the match in just two sets. Exhibition, Makena Houston and Nicole Miller had a thrilling three set battle against the Waves. Miller and Houston went back-to-back in sets and ultimately defeated the Waves with scores 21-11, 18-21, and 15-12.

Against the Mavericks, CUI dominated yet again. All flights were able to finish their matches in two sets and close scores. Flight one battled till the very end but CMU was able to come back and take over the match in the second set, defeating the Green and Gold 21-19 and 21-17.
 
CUI will host Vanguard University and Hope International University on Saturday March 23. Following the match they will be celebrating their graduating class of 2024. CLICK HERE for the full schedule.
