IRVINE, Calif. - On Tuesday afternoon, the CUI men's tennis team celebrated the only senior for the Golden Eagles, Mattis Le Montagner!

Mattis Le Montagner has been a key player for the CUI tennis team this season since he joined the program as a Graduate Student from his former school University of Cumberlands.

To get the competition started, the doubles teams opened up back-to-back wins against the Vikings including a 6-0 blowout from Max Renz and Mattis Le Montagner followed by a 6-2 win from Mario Alesik and Adam Kartzinel to give a point to the Golden Eagles.

Moving into the singles matches, Le Montagner made his last home competition perfect on the day. Winning his singles competitive match against the #1 player for the vikings, ending with a final score 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 to go 2-0 on the day

The Golden Eagles nearly swept the visiting Vikings ending the competition with a final score of 6-1. This win marks seven out of the last eight for CUI with playoffs just around the corner.
