IRVINE, Calif. - A pair of stalwart Concordia cross country runners represent the PacWest this week as the conference's featured runners of the week.
Ania Kapustka claimed the PacWest Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week Award after blazing to victory at the San Francisco Invitational this past weekend in the Bay Area.
Kapustka was one of three Golden Eagles to place in the Top 10 that day, with teammates
Elizabeth King finishing third overall and junior
Emily Littlefield coming in ninth. The CUI women also won the eventÂ
Meanwhile,
Noah Plaza turned in another fantastic performance and placed second overall out of nearly 125 individual runners. His strong showing earned him PacWest Runner of the Week honors on the men's side, as he led the charge for the Golden Eagles to take third place in the team standings. CUI was only seven points behind Azusa Pacific for second place and will get another chance to measure up against the Cougars at the upcoming PacWest Conference Championships in Hawaii.
