SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Heading to one of the newer PacWest schools, the Golden Eagles took on one of the best rebounding teams in the conference, the Westmont Warriors.

While the first half commenced, the Golden Eagles found themselves needing more of an offensive push. After starting out by almost going down by 10 points, CUI needed to make some adjustments.

The coaches saw an adjustment that they could exploit and cut the lead down before the half to seven points, 32-25, going into the locker rooms.

Coming back from the half, the Golden Eagles found ways to just chip away at the Warrior's lead, and with one minute left in the 3rd quarter, CUI only saw themselves down by four points.

Having an offensive rhythm in the game, the Golden Eagles almost fought all the way back and only saw themselves down by two points with a huge Izzy Navarro three-point shot with 54-52. Unfortunately, the Warriors came back from the timeout and made sure to close out the game strong despite the Golden Eagles out-scoring the Warriors 21-19.

CUI fell to the Warriors with a final score of 66-60.
