Irvine, Calif. - The Golden Eagles faced off in a much anticipated match against the Sea Lions from Point Loma. CUI fell just short of the Sea Lions with a final score of 6-1. 

Pia Starnecker was the standout Golden Eagle and swept her singles match with a score of 7-5 in Set 1 and 6-3 in set 2. Another standout for the Golden Eagles was Sophie Rachor, and although she lost her singles match, but she fought a tough battle and took the first set from a talented opponent. 

Senior Alicia Da Re also put up a fight in her singles match and definitely gave the Sea Lions a scare.
