NEW ORLEANS, LA. - The Concordia University Irvine beach volleyball kicked off the 2025 season out in Louisiana in the Green Wave Invitational hosted by Tulane. The Golden Eagles started the season on a high note securing two wins over Texas A&M Corpus Christi and University of New Orleans.
 
CUI 3, TAMU-CC 2
 
The Golden Eagles picked up their first win with exciting fashion having the first three pairs to play earn a win to overcome Texas A&M – Corpus Christi. After Korah Nordin and Ashley Rossi lost the first set they made some adjustments to their game plan and came back to win the next two securing a win for the Green and Gold.

The Golden Eagles dominated the second match of the day as all pairs won in straight sets. Some of the sets came within a couple points difference but CUI was able to adjust and close out the sets. Lexi Godbey and Jordan Vander Veen held their opponents to score less than 10 points in each set.

The Golden Eagles will finish the tournament Saturday Feb. 22 against UAB and Tulane with times starting at 6:30 a.m. PST and 11:30 a.m. PST.
