IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine men's volleyball played against Lincoln Memorial for the first time in program history on Wednesday. The Railsplitters took the first win between the two in four sets with scores 21-25, 25-19, 25-20, and 25-16.
Colin Marks ran the offense for the Golden Eagles and had 30 assits with two kills and eight digs.
Cruse Ae'a was in the libero position and scooped up five digs and four assists.
Marcus Morgan played on the right side and led CUI with eight kills and four digs.
Ties Cornelissen and
Christian Galoppo finished with seven kills each and a combined seven digs.
Makua Marumoto and
Gage Doble contributed with four kills.
Nathan Habermas made his debut in the middle and had six kills on eight attempts with no errors.
Clement Osahon Jr. was unstoppable out of the middle going 7-for-12 with no errors while hitting .583. Osahon Jr. put up two solo blocks and three block assists.
The Golden Eagles will play against No. 2 UC Irvine on Saturday Feb. 8 in the CU Arena with a 7 p.m. start time.
