Golden Eagles Show Resilience in Loss to Bucknell

Irvine, Calif- The CUI Women's water polo team played their second home game of the season vs the Bucknell Bisons.

The Golden Eagles put in a strong effort but ultimately fell short in the matchup. Despite the loss, there were plenty of positive moments to build on, with several players stepping up to make key contributions throughout the game. Here's a breakdown of the game and some standout performances:

Anna Tyukasz was the star of the game for CUI, leading the team with a team-high 4 goals. She showed impressive offensive presence, capitalizing on opportunities and finishing well in high-pressure situations.

Hannah Edwards had a standout performance, going 4-0 on sprints and contributing an assist. Her speed and ability to win sprints allowed us to get extra possessions, and her vision helped set up key plays for teammates. Sierrah Ferguson also contributed significantly, scoring 2 goals. She played well off the ball and showed great movement in creating scoring chances.

Allyson Corbett chipped in with 2 goals, adding another solid offensive presence. Munroe Blem provided both scoring and playmaking, scoring 1 goal and adding 1 assist.
