IRVINE, Calif. – After going 12-7 on the road at the start of the season the CUI beach volleyball team hosted a series at their home stand at OC Great Park. The Golden Eagles came out with another two dominate wins over Cal State LA and Colorado Mesa.
CUI 5, CSULA 0
The Golden Eagles hosted their first game of the season and completely took control of the entire match winning all games in two sets. Not only did they win in two sets with the five games only two of the 10 sets played went above 18 points or above.
The fifth slot Rossi and Campion held their opponents to under 10 points in each set. No. 1 and No. 4 slot had a tough first set but came back in the second set to hold Cal State LA to eight and six points.

CUI 4, CMU 1
CUI kept things rolling in the second game against Colorado Mesa winning five of the six matches in two sets. Duo Giusta and Reinking had a tough match up as they won the first set but then dropped the second by a close 23-21 score. The Mavericks came back to win the final third set but the Golden Eagles were able to secure their 14
th win of the season.

The Golden Eagles will be back on the road playing in the Asics Classic hosted by Pepperdine on Friday Mar. 21. CUI will face off against South Florida at 11 a.m. followed by host team Pepperdine at 1 p.m.
