IRVINE, Calif. – The CUI beach volleyball team had another dominating performance on Saturday as they hosted The Mater's and Texas A&M-Kingsville only allowing one point to be scored the entire day. The Golden Eagles move to 20-7 on the season and extend their win streak to eight.
 
CUI 5, TMU 0

The Golden Eagles had yet another dominating performance against The Master's as they were able to hold their opponents to 15 points or less in nine out of the 10 sets played. This marks the sixth consecutive win over the Mustangs and holding them scoreless.

In the second slot Nordin and Solberg had a tough first set with the Mustangs holding them close but CUI was able to win in just two sets and then had no problem winning in the second only allowing TMU to score 12.

CUI 4, TAMUK 1

This is the second time these two teams are meeting up program history and was another solid match for both teams.

Two of the games went the distance going three sets where both teams came out with a victory. No. 2 slot with Reinking and Giusta was a hard fought battle as they lost the first set but made some adjustments to dominate in the second forcing a third. The third set was a battle as the score toggled between duos but Javelina was able to come out with the only point for TAMUK.

Same thing happened for the fifth slot as Rossi and Campion lost the first set and came back in the second holding the Javelina to just 10 points and going to a third. The Golden Eagles were able to secure the win by a close 16-14 score.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday April 5 as they take on Arizona Christian at 10 a.m. followed by Vanguard at 2 p.m. CUI will honor their seniors as this will be their last home stand of the season which is expected to be around 4 p.m.
