IRVINE, Calif. - Both Concordia University Irvine tennis teams emerged victorious with dominant 7-0 wins on Saturday against Westmont.
It was a fitting way to cement the legacy of many of the Golden Eagles playing in their last home matches on Senior Day.
Max Renz was one of the standouts as he and
Adam Large teamed up for a win at No. 3 doubles. Renz also captured his third win of the week at No. 4 singles.
In addition to helping CUI defeat Menlo 6-1 on Friday, Renz was also victorious in both spots in his team's narrow 4-3 loss to No. 6 APU.
Spencer Cinco and
Adam Kartzinel clinched the doubles point at the No. 2 position with a thrilling 7-6 (7-4) victory.
The CUI men opened the month of April ranked No. 17 in the ITA NCAA DII national rankings. It's the highest they've been ranked all season. The CUI men have defeated every team they have faced this year, with the exception of nationally-ranked Lubbock Christian and Azusa Pacific.
