FRESNO, Calif. - Concordia University Irvine earned a pair of wins on the road against Fresno Pacific, using a mix of explosive offense and steady pitching to go up 2-0 on the series.
Game 1: CUI - 17, FPU - 7 (8 innings)
The Golden Eagles' bats came alive in a dominant 17-7 victory. Nicolas Erickson led the offensive surge with five RBIs, consistently delivering in key moments. Ian Stewart added the lone home run of the day, helping the Golden Eagles build and maintain a comfortable lead. CUI controlled the game from start to finish with strong run production and solid pitching from Shane Timmons and Jayden Daya.
Game 2: CUI - 4, FPU - 2
The Golden Eagles followed with a 4-2 win, relying on efficient offense and strong pitching from Matthew Kaiser. CUI capitalized on scoring opportunities while the pitching staff kept Fresno Pacific to three hits only. Clean defense and timely execution allowed the Golden Eagles to secure the two wins.
