IRVINE, Calif. - On the heels of helping his men's water polo teammates rack up three victories during a recent road trip to Rhode Island, Concordia's Hugo Wouters has been named WWPA Offensive Player of the Week.

Wouters poured in 14 goals and racked up 10 recorded assists and five steals over the course of CUI's 3-1 visit to Brown University. He tied his season-high with five goals in CUI's epic 19-18 win over Harvard University and had at least three goals and three assists in all three Concordia victories.  Wouters tallied five goals and three assists against Harvard for a team-high eight points.

CUI also defeated MIT 16-8 and Johns Hopkins University by a count of 17-15 on Sunday before flying back to SoCal. Wouters was a menace and racked up seven points in each contest.

He became the second sophomore over the weekend to join the 100 Goal Club at Concordia. Wouters and teammate Dimitrios Koritsas both now have racked up 106 and 104 career goals respectively.  Senior Kaliq Khan stands at 98 career goals entering this Thursday's first two home games at Woollett Aquatics Center.

Khan can reach that milestone potentially against McKendree at 10 a.m. or later that afternoon at 1 p.m. when the Golden Eagles host Mount St. Mary's as part of a rare home doubleheader.
