2019: Earned MPSF All-Conference Honorable Mention… Named an MPSF All-Academic Honoree… Played in 107 sets and 31 matches with 29 starts… Collected 165 kills, 101 blocks, 21 aces, 36 digs, and hit .365… Finished top six in the MPSF in blocks per set and hitting percentage… Opened the season with seven kills and seven blocks against CSUN (Jan. 3)… Hit .308 with seven kills and six blocks versus NJIT (Jan. 12)… Was perfect against UC Santa Cruz (Jan. 31) with seven kills on seven attempts… Was one block shy of a double-double at UC San Diego (Feb. 1) with a season-high of 11 kills and nine blocks… Against USC (Feb. 28), he had nine kills, seven blocks, and hit .368… Went errorless with seven kills and hit .412 with three aces in a five set win over BYU (Mar. 28)… Had a career match against Stanford (Mar. 30), setting a school record of 11 blocks and had seven kills while hitting .538.

2018: Named Concordia’s first AVCA DI-II All-American garnering Honorable Mention honors... Earned MPSF All-Conference Honorable Mention and Volleyball Magazine All-American Honorable Mention… Named an MPSF All-Academic Honoree... Started in 28 matches and played in all 31 matches and 113 sets… Led the team with a .426 hitting percentage and averaged 1.12 blocks per set… Third on the team with 2.61 points per set average and fifth on the team with 1.89 kills per set… Collected 214 kills, 127 blocks, 111 block assists, 16 block solos, and nine aces… Set a career-high of 20 kills against Hope International (Jan. 29) while hitting .643 and picking up five blocks… Had eight kills and nine blocks with three being solo at UC San Diego (Jan. 20)… In a five-set upset over CSUN (Feb. 24), he picked up a new career-high of 10 blocks… Went errorless against Harvard with 14 kills on 20 attempts for a hitting percentage of .600… Hit .727 with eight kills and seven blocks in the MPSF Tournament Quarterfinals versus Grand Canyon (Apr. 14).

2017: Started 26 of 29 matches and played in 106 sets… Led the team with a .344 hitting percentage and 105.5 total blocks… Also had 257.5 points, 186 kills, 35 digs, and 13 aces… Hit over .500 in seven matches… In a four-set upset of nationally ranked UC Santa Barbara (Mar. 17), he was named Off the Block Defensive Player of the Night when he had eight blocks as well as eight kills and hit .583… Had 11 kills and hit .417 with eight blocks against McKendree (Jan. 13)… Did not have an error against Cal Lutheran (Jan. 27) where he hit .500 with eight kills and eight blocks… Hit .611 with 12 kills and five blocks against UC Merced (Feb. 25)… Ended the season at Benedictine-Mesa (Apr. 5) with 12 kills on a .550 hitting percentage.

2016: Played in all 20 matches with 15 starts and played in 55 sets. For the season had 74 kills and hit .396 while collecting a team-high 60 blocks. Ranked 14^th nationally with 1.09 blocks per set. Against Hope International (Feb. 18), had a career-high of nine kills and eight blocks to go along with hitting .533. Opened the season with seven kills on eight attempts and hit a career-high .875 versus Southern Alberta (Dec. 31). Had four kills and hit .571 while picking up six blocks. Served a career-high two aces and had five kills and five blocks against Hope International (Mar. 21).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego Calif. and graduated in 2015... Played three years of varsity volleyball for the Falcons... Received CIF Second Team Division and MVP his sophomore year... Was Second Team Western League and CIF Second Team Division his junior year... Was named CIF All-County First Team, First Team Western League, U-T San Diego Athlete of the Week, Athlete of the Week, selected for the San Diego All-Star Game, was named captain, and took first in league his senior year.
 
OTHER: Born in Chesapeake, VA on Dec. 6^th 1996 to Michael and Terri Howell... He has an older brother Zach and younger sister Ellie... Majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing... Enjoys traveling, going to the beach, spending time with family, and playing video games
