2021: Named First Team All-PacWest in singles and First Team All-PacWest in doubles with partner Rebekah Anderson... Went undefeated in finished singles matches (7-0) while competing at the No. 1 singles position in every appearance as a senior... Ranked No. 36 in ITA DII singles rankings... Led CUI women's tennis to the NCAA DII West Regional Tournament for the first time in school history... Also helped CUI women's tennis earn ITA national rankings from preseason to postseason, which marked the first time both the CUI men's and women's tennis teams have been nationally ranked at the same time... Named PacWest Player of the Week (4/12) after defeating Biola's Colbeyshae with seven points in a row to take the tiebreaker, clinch the match vs the rival Eagles... Honored as Eagle Award winner at 2021 Senior Legacy Banquet... Finished her CUI career ranked sixth in program history with 41 career wins in singles and also sixth all-time with 46 career wins in doubles... Also ranked fourth in CUI record books for win percentage for singles (.706) and third all-time in win percentage for doubles (.767).
2020: Named ITA DII All-American in doubles with partner Rebekah Anderson... Ranked No. 9 in final ITA West Regional rankings in singles... Also completed the year ranked No. 2 in doubles in west region with Anderson... Went 3-5 at the number one position in singles...Won eight doubles matches in the number one position... Went 8-1 on the season in doubles... Is in the record books in multiple categories - Season: Best doubles record. 2018: Named ITA DII All-American in singles... Finished freshman season ranked No. 9 in final ITA national rankings in singles... Named PacWest Freshman of the Year and First Team All-PacWest in singles... Academic All-PacWest.

Personal: Born September 4, 1998 in Mashhad, Iran to Bahareh Shahriari Ahmadi and Maziar Pakbaten... Majored in Business... Her career goal is to be a professional tennis player after the graduation and an athletic trainer in the future... On her free time, Ghazal likes watching TV shows, shopping, and spend time with friends... Her favorite athletes are Maria Sharapova and Garbine Muguruza... Her favorite thing about Concordia is the friendly environment and the people... Ghazal’s biggest heroes are her Dad and Mom who also dedicated their lives to tennis and have worked as tennis coaches for many years... Something people might not know about her is how crazy she is about tennis... If she could meet anyone in the world, she would choose a famous tennis player Maria Sharapova... The best advice she ever received is to “Have fun when you are playing tennis.”... As pre-game rituals, she likes listening to the motivational songs, and touch her strings before the point starts.
