No. 2 Concordia University Irvine Eagles
A League Of Their Own
The nationally-ranked CUI softball team claimed the PacWest Conference title for the third time this spring led by an impressive pitching staff that enters the postseason ranked second in the NCAA DII with a microscopic 1.15 team ERA. PacWest Newcomer of the Year Katlin Entrup leads a deep starting rotation of four pitchers that each compiled an ERA under 1.25 in the regular season. Outfielder Megan Massa was named PacWest Player of the Year and led the league in batting average (.414) and doubles (18). Massa had 23 multi-hit games this season and also led CUI in hits, walks and runs scored. Sophomore shortstop Rylie Rohr led the entire PacWest with 11 homers while First Team All-Conference teammate Sydney Sprinkle added seven round-trippers and a league-best 49 RBI. Concordia rattled off an amazing 36-game winning streak to open the season which was the best start in program history. The Green and Gold also won two tournaments as the only squad to go a perfect 5-0 at both the CUI Kickoff Classic and the Desert Stinger. PacWest Coach of the Year Crystal Rosenthal also earned career win No. 600 down the stretch in a road win over Holy Names.
The Eagles are a combined 4-1 against the three teams in this regional bracket (3-1 vs APU; 1-0 vs Chico State; 0-0 vs CSUDH)

No. 3 Chico State Wildcats
Clawing Their Way To The Playoffs
Chico State finished in second place in the CCAA with 26 conference wins behind top-seeded Cal State San Marcos in the West Region. The Wildcats are led by pitcher Brooke Larsen who led the CCAA in shutouts, complete games and strikeouts and limited opponents to a .190 batting average. She tied for the conference lead with a 1.84 ERA this season and ranks first in Chico State softball history in career ERA (1.57) while also Top 4 in career wins, shutouts and strikeouts. Nina Revoir leads the Wildcats with nine homers and 40 RBI while batting a team-best .382 to boot. Reilani Peleti is also a very dangerous hitter who compiled three homers and 30 RBI in 50 starts which rank second on the squad.

No. 6 Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros
Full Speed Ahead
The Toros reserved a spot at the regional table for the first time since 2013. This is the ninth time in program history CSUDH has qualified for the NCAA Regionals and eighth time under head coach Jim Maier. The Toros are known for being speedy on the base paths as Claudia Valencia leads CSUDH with 27 steals and Chenoa Au has swiped 14 bags. Kaylee Hull is one of four Toros to club at least four homers and leads the squad with six round-trippers. Plus, Claudia Valencia is first on the team with 71 hits, 40 RBI and an impressive .401 batting average. Meanwhile, the pitching tandem of Ashley Wies (19-6 record with 10 complete games and a 2.33 ERA) and Alyssa Olague (16-12 with two saves and a 2.58 ERA) have combined for 300 strikeouts this season in the circle.
The Toros are 3-3 against the other teams in this year's tournament (3-2 vs Chico State; 0-0 vs CUI, 0-1 vs APU).

No. 7 Azusa Pacific Cougars
An "A" for APU
The Cougars won nine of their final ten regular season games and finished second behind Concordia in the PacWest Conference standings. Coach Carrie Webber earned career win No. 400 earlier this season and the Cougars are in the postseason for just the second time in the program’s NCAA DII era (last made it in 2016). APU collected 25 wins in league play which was the most since they joined the PacWest in the NCAA DII era. Aly Montesino and Caitlin DeCanio each lead a potent offense with six homers apiece while All-Conference selection Katie Korstrom boasts a 1.73 ERA and a 13-3 record as the ace of the pitching staff.
APU enters the tournament a combined 3-3 against other teams in this regional bracket (1-3 vs CUI; 1-0 vs Chico State; 1-0 vs CSUDH).
