Janae Magpale was promoted to head coach of the Concordia University Irvine STUNT program in June of 2026. After serving as an assistant coach for two seasons, she was promoted to interim head coach of the program in December of 2025 shortly before the 2026 season.
She has helped the Golden Eagles evolve into one of the premier STUNT teams in all of California. During the 2026 season, Magpale led CUI to a 16-9 overall record which was the most victories in a single season in the NCAA DII era. The Green and Gold also rattled off a five-game winning streak in the heart of the season and won two games at the Stunt National Championships for the second straight year.
A former CBU cheerleader and alum, Magpale has served on the Concordia STUNT coaching staff since the fall of 2023.
During the 2023-24 season, she and former head coach Karli Shutt helped shepherd the Golden Eagles into a new era as Concordia STUNT competed in its first season as a NCAA DII sponsored sport.
