She cheered for four years at Riverside Poly High School, during which she was recruited by Concordia University Irvine for cheer and STUNT in her junior year. After committing to CUI her senior year of high school, MacKenzie became Concordia cheer and STUNT’s first recruited and signed athlete.
MacKenzie helped build CUI’s first STUNT team and continued in the sport all four years of her undergraduate career serving as team captain for three of those years. Competing as a flyer, mid-layer, and tumbler, MacKenzie was named a STUNT DII second-team All-American in 2016 and first-team All-American in 2018 and 2019. She was her team’s stat leader during her senior season and also was the recipient of CUI’s Eagle Award on behalf of the entire CUI athletics department at the 2019 Senior Banquet for embodying the spirit of Concordia.
MacKenzie graduated with cum laude honors in 2019 and is now pursuing an Ed.S. graduate degree in School Psychology.
