Nolan Abernathy joined the Concordia University Irvine men’s basketball program in the summer of 2020 following two years as an assistant coach at Citrus College in Glendora, Calif. 

During his two seasons at Citrus College, Nolan helped lead the Owls to a 45-17 record, including a 2019 CCCAA Final Four appearance and back to back Western State Conference championships. Over the course of those two seasons, 11 players moved on to play basketball at a four year school.  

Abernathy played his sophomore season at Citrus College, before finishing his career playing for Coach Ammann at Concordia from 2012-2014, starting in 28 games and helping lead the Eagles to an NAIA national tournament appearance during his junior year.  

Nolan graduated with his undergraduate degree in Business Administration, and went on to earn his Master’s degree in Coaching and Exercise Science through Concordia University as well.
