Alex Cordon Bofill joins the Concordia University Irvine men’s soccer coaching staff for the 2025 season as an assistant coach, bringing a diverse background in both international and collegiate coaching.
Originally from Barcelona, Spain, Alex began his coaching career with the FC Barcelona Academy USA. He served as the first assistant coach at Missouri Valley College during the 2020–2021 season, where he claimed the National Tournament championship and earned recognition as part of the NAIA Coaching Staff of the Year.
Following his time in Missouri, he returned to Barcelona, Spain, to continue developing players at CE Mataró, a local club near his hometown, before coming back to the U.S. to join the Irvine Valley College women’s soccer program.
As a former player, Alex competed at the collegiate level for Missouri Valley College, where he earned NAIA All-American honors twice. His playing resume includes two Heart of America Conference Championships, two National Tournament runner-up, and a Lone Star Conference title.
He holds the Spanish Level 3 Coaching License (equivalent to UEFA PRO) and holds a degree in Business Administration and Sports Management. With experience across both European and American soccer systems, Alex offers a well-rounded perspective on the game.
Born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, Coach Alex is excited to contribute to the continued growth and success of the Golden Eagles soccer program.
