SANTA ANA: Attended Santa Ana College as a defender for the men’s team from 2010-2011... He received defensive player of the year, and 2nd team All-Conference in 2010, and was named the team captain, conference MVP, defensive player of the year, sophomore player of the year, and team MVP in 2011.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Santiago High School in Garden Grove, CA... Over his four years at Santiago he received many honors such as 2006 most improved player, 2007 Most improved player, 2nd Team All-League, Defensive player of the year, 2007 defensive MVP, 2nd team All-League, 2008 he was the team captain, defender of the year, 1st team All-League, 1st team All-CIF, and a four-year scholar-athlete.
OTHER: Born Dec. 5, 1991 in Garden Grove, CA to J. Israel and Maria Espinoza... Has a brother Israel (18) and two sisters Mayra (26) and Vanessa (19)... Hector enjoys watching movies, going to the beach, reading the bible, and working with youth groups for teens when he’s not on the soccer field.. Majoring in sociology.. Plans to become a probation officer and try out for a pro team.
