Makai Lipson serves as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater.
He has played beach volleyball since elementary school. He was a part of the USA U20 National Team in 2021. He has six years of coaching experience as a beach and indoor volleyball coach for both boys and girls.
Makai graduated from Concordia University Irvine in 2025 with a B.A. in Psychology and is currently getting his Master’s in Coaching & Athletic Administration (MCAA) at Concordia. He was a setter for four years for the Golden Eagles men’s volleyball program and is currently pursuing a career in the AVP (Association of Volleyball Professionals).
