Sinan Cem Tanik has spent the previous two seasons with the Eagles as a graduate assistant coach and helped CUI earn its first-ever victory over UCLA in program history during the 2021 season.

He came to CUI after spending two years coaching professionally in Poland.  Prior to coaching in Poland, Sinan played professionally in Europe for 18 years, spending 13 of those years on the Turkish National Team, which he captained for three years.

Sinan earned his master's degree in coaching and exercise sciences (MSCE) and his master’s degree in coaching and athletics administration (MCAA) at Concordia. He also has a bachelor's degree in economics and is married to Sevgul Tanik and a father of a son and a daughter.
