Concordia Irvine Athletics

Bobby McDonald joined the Concordia men’s and women’s water polo staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2015 men’s season.  He oversees pool deck operations, and operates camps and clinics.

In the summer of 2015 he became an assistant coach with the Back Bay Water Polo team in Irvine and Newport Beach, and he continues to serve in that role.  He helps coach and prepares the athletes for the Junior Olympics.

From 2006 to 2011 he was a recreation leader with the City of Anaheim Community Services Department.

McDonald earned his bachelor’s in economics from UC Irvine in 2015.  He was a scholar-athlete in 2013 and spent three seasons with the Anteater water polo team.
