Konstantinos Koulouris is in his second year serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Concordia University Irvine men’s water polo team. He is pursuing his graduate studies in Coaching and Exercise Science.
Koulouris was named ACWPC DII Assistant Coach of the Year following a historic season with the Golden Eagles in 2025. CUI won the WWPA Conference Tournament for the first time in 2025 and made its debut at the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. CUI represented itself well, even scoring on a trick play early against top-seeded USC. He also took great pride in introducing senior Luke Addington as the winner of the Male Golden Eagle Award at the 2026 Senior Banquet that is now called "the 2026 Marty Awards."
Koulouris began his career in Greece, competing with Apollo and PAOK from 2007 to 2019. During that time, he earned two runner-up finishes at the Junior Greek National Championships, placed 8th with the Greek National Team at the 2017 Junior European Championship, and helped PAOK secure a 4th-place finish in the Division 1 Greek League at a young age.
In 2019, he moved abroad to Golden West College, where he captained the water polo team for two seasons (2019–2020, 2021–2022). He led the team to back-to-back CCCAA State Championships, twice earned MVP honors, was named a Junior College All-American, and was selected First-Team All-State. Over his two seasons, he scored 88 goals with 73 assists, including MVP of the state final.
At Long Beach State (2022–2023), he finished fifth on the team in assists (13), added 9 goals and 13 steals, and earned Academic All-GCC recognition. He also graduated with a degree in Business Administration before pursuing graduate studies.
In 2024, he transferred to Concordia, where he had a record-breaking season. He became the program’s all-time single-season assists leader (52), was the second-leading scorer on the team with 65 goals, and also led the Eagles in steals, field blocks (12), and total points (117). His honors included:
- WWPA Co-Player of the Year (2024)
- All-WWPA First Team & Defensive Team
- WWPA All-Tournament Team
- WWPA Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 30–Oct. 6, 2024)
- All-American First Team Defense, All-American Academic Team, and All-American honors
- Concordia Scholar-Athlete of the Year (2024)
He also helped Concordia secure the No. 1 seed in the West for the WWPA Conference Championships, finishing as runner-up for the second straight year.
