Portesi is in her first year with the Concordia University Irvine softball team staff after graduating from Cal State University East Bay in 2020.
The Chino, Calif. native was an outfielder during all four of her years with the Pioneers and during the COVID-19 shortened season, she batted .294 while going a perfect 10-for-10 on stolen base attempts. Portesi also holds the record at CSUEB for most home runs in one game, when she crushed three pitches over the wall in a blowout victory over Academy of Art in 2017. Two of those homers actually came in the same inning, which also tied a school record that was set in 1999.
In 2019, she was a CCAA All-Academic Award winner and also was named CCAA Player of the Week.
Portesi earned her Bachelor of Arts in fine art at CSUEB. She is pursing her single-subject teaching credential with an added master's degree in education. She graduated from Don Lugo High School.
