Brian Failinger returned to Concordia University Irvine as a graduate assistant in the summer of 2020. A former CUI men’s volleyball player, he most recently served as technical coordinator for the Long Beach State women's volleyball team from 2017-2019.
At Long Beach State, he gathered and coordinated all statistical information for the team through Data Volley and Volleymetrics, and generated scouting reports for video analysis from practice and matches. In addition, he promoted all Long Beach State camps and clinics, as well as handling all operational behind-the-scenes needs such as travel and nutrition.
Since 2015, Failinger has also worked as a technical coordinator, intern and volunteer for USA Volleyball. He served on the coaching staff for the 2017 USAV Men’s Pan Am Cup team.
He was a coach for the Team Rockstar Volleyball club from 2018-2020 and his 14-1's team took third place in Open division at the 2019 USA Volleyball Boys National Championships.
Failinger played collegiately at Concordia from 2015-17 and earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Prior to that, he served as a manager and a practice player for the Division I Indiana women’s volleyball team from 2013-15.
