Ryan Martines joined the staff at Concordia University Irvine after three outstanding years as a member of the men’s swim team. He was a 7-time individual All-PCSC performer for the Golden Eagles specializing in the 100-200 breaststrokes. He ranks No. 3 all-time in program history in the 100 breast (55.72) and is on the second-fastest 200 medley and third-fastest 400 medley relays in program history. He was a co-captain for the 2021-2022 PCSC men’s championship team that won its second title in four years by 1.5 points!
Coach Ryan graduated from CUI in the fall of 2022 with a degree in Kinesiology. He is presently pursuing his graduate degree in the Master’s of Coaching and Athletic Administration (MCAA) program at CUI.
Ryan is entering his seventh year of coaching and is currently the associate head coach at Lahaina Swim Club and an assistant coach for Northwood High School in Irvine, California. Prior to coming to Concordia, he served as Head Boys Aquatics Coach at Madera High School and as Associate Head Coach for the Madera Aquatic Team in his hometown of Madera, California.
