Biography
LA VERNE: After graduation Andrea attended the University of La Verne from 2012-2015 in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC)…She was both a singles and doubles competitor for the Leopards…Andrea was the first tennis player in ULV history to qualify for the NCAA national tournament in 2013.. That same year she finished in 6th place overall... In 2013 she received newcomer of the year… She was the ITA All-American Athlete from 2013-2015…She was on the Dean’s list and received scholar athlete in 2015... That same year she earned the #1 ranking for the West Region Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended South Hills High School in West Covina, CA and graduated in 2012…She played soccer and tennis at the varsity level and was captain of her tennis team in 2010 and 2011…As a freshman she received MVP in 2009… As a junior and senior she received honors such as League MVP, League Champion and Team MVP for both 2011 and 2012 season.
OTHER: Born in San Dimas California on April 15th 1994 to Hector and Maria Madrigal… She has an older sister Danielle (26)… She is getting her MBA and plans to open up her own business after graduation… When she isn’t on the tennis court, Andrea enjoys powerlifting, strength training, drawing, photography and playing the piano.
