Men's Tennis Assistant Coach Jacob Rankin

Jacob Rankin

Jacob Rankin, first year assistant for Women's Tennis, comes to CUI after finishing his collegiate tennis playing career. After four years of college tennis, two at Indiana University Southeast and two at Indiana Wesleyan University, Rankin comes in with 4 years of starting (varsity) experience. After 2 first team all-conference selections, 1 conference championship, and a yearend Top 25 ranking in the NAIA National Polls at Indiana University Southeast, Rankin transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University, an NAIA powerhouse in athletics, including tennis.

After finishing second in the Crossroads league his junior year, Rankin's Wildcats stormed back during his senior year campaign to claim the conference championship, earning themselves an automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament. Rankin was voted onto the All-Conference team for his 3 time in 4 years. After taking down 3 top 20 programs in the spring, IWU moved to as high as 20th in the national polls, while finishing in the 23rd spot.

Rankin enters the Concordia coaching staff as a graduate student in the Master's of Coaching and Athletic Administration Program. With aspirations to be a head coach and eventual Athletic Director, Rankin hopes to bring the Eagles to their best finish in the PacWest yet.
