Originally from the United Kingdom, Lucas Taylor attended Northern Arizona University and earned his undergraduate degree in the W.A Franke College of Business. While at NAU, he played on the NCAA DI men’s tennis team and played both singles and doubles at the No. 2 position all four years.
His impressive collegiate career at NAU features a ton of individual and team accolades. This includes being named All-Big Sky Conference Team four years in a row, and earning First Team Singles and Second Team Doubles nods. During his time with the Lumberjacks, he won three regular season Big Sky Conference titles and one Big Sky Tournament title in addition to making one NCAA Tournament appearance. His highest Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) in singles was 13.18 and he earned a Top 10 Singles Ranking in the Mountain Region. He also made two All-American Singles appearances and won five Big Sky Player of the Week Awards.
He is currently studying for his master’s degree in business administration (MBA) at CUI while coaching the women’s tennis team. His interests include economics, politics and investing and he is looking to peruse a career in nonprofit consulting.
Taylor was born and raised in the East London borough of Hackney. He is the son of Becky and Adrian Taylor and has a younger brother Rory and older sister Matilda. He and his fiancé Maggie Carruth, who was a track and field runner at Northern Arizona, live in Irvine.
