Sophia Harano joined the Concordia track and field coaching staff in the fall of 2016. Most recently, Harano worked as an admissions counselor at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, SD. After ending own her five year collegiate vault career, she continued to assist in coaching a dominant pole vault program at USF. Harano graduated from USF in 2016 with Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Sociology and Social Sciences. During her track and field career she was a 3-time national qualifier and an NCAA All-American in the pole vault. She also spent summers coaching high school pole vault camps.
Currently, Harano is pursuing a Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia and is expected to graduate in 2019.
