Blake Omartian is a member of both CUI indoor volleyball coaching staffs. He joined the CUI women's volleyball coaching staff with head coach Paula Weishoff as a graduate assistant in 2021 and became an assistant coach in 2022. He has also served as a volunteer assistant with our CUI men's team for multiple seasons under head coach Riley Salmon.
Omartian is a 2021 graduate of CUI and former member of the CUI men's volleyball team. During his time wearing the Green and Gold, he played three seasons as a libero and excelled as a defensive specialist throughout his career as an Eagle. He was named to the MPSF All-Academic team in 2020-21 and earned the Best Communicator Award his final season.
Prior to coming to Concordia as a student-athlete, he started every match during his time as libero at Los Angeles Pierce College. He helped LA Pierce become CCCAA State Champions during the 2017-18 season and was also named to the Western State All-Conference team as a libero twice. He was First Team All-Conference one year and Second-Team All-Conference the other season.
Omartian is a graduate of Crescenta Valley High School and was voted Varsity MVP in 2015-16.
