Carolyn Zimmerman became an assistant coach with the Concordia women’s volleyball program in the summer of 2015.

Zimmerman came most recently from Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, CA where she was the head coach for 13 seasons from 2002 to 2014. Zimmerman leaves the Titans as the winningest coach in program history and won the Big West Championship in 2010, as well as being named CVU, Big West and NCAA West Region Coach of the Year.

Prior to that, she served as the assistant coach for seven seasons at CSUF beginning in 1995. She served as the assistant coach at Cal State Northridge for two seasons in 1994 and 1995. Her coaching career began at Mira Costa High School where she worked as an assistant for three seasons beginning in 1992.

Zimmerman earned her bachelor’s in sociology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA in 1992. She played for the Pepperdine Waves from 1988-1991. She was a three-time All-Conference player and the 1991 Conference Player of the Year. Her team made four NCAA Appearances and won four straight West Coast Conference championships with a 55-1 Conference record. Zimmerman is Pepperdine's all-time leader in digs with 1371 career digs and side-out scoring. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Coaching and Athletic Administration at Concordia University Irvine.
