Lauryn Andrew brings a wealth of experience to her position as she began coaching in 2007. The club programs she’s worked under have produced over 250 college players, including over 100 at the Division I level, won over 30 Junior Olympics medals and collected dozens of Junior All-America honors. In Coach Andrew’s two seasons at San Gabriel Elite Volleyball Club, her teams have won: Gold 16 American (2023), Silver 12 USA (2024), and Bronze 18 Liberty (2024).
Her athletes have been awarded scholarships to play and attend: USC, UCSB, CSU San Bernardino and CSU San Marcos, Mississippi Valley State, Cal Poly Pomona, Regis, Western State Colorado, St. Ambrose, Belmont Abbey, Pacific Union, Notre Dame De Namur, and several junior colleges.
She served as the head women’s volleyball coach and senior woman’s leader at Providence Christian College in Pasadena, Calif. for two seasons. This included the inaugural season to recruiting 13 players and going 12-15 (one match shy of a National Bid) in 2023. During that stretch she also coached two California Pacific Players of the Week in 2023, a CalPac 2nd Team All Conference (2023) player, a CalPac Honorable Mention athlete (2023), two CalPac Conference Champions of Character (2022, 2023), three NAIA Scholar-Athlete Recipients (2022, 2023), and seven Dean’s List Honorees.
In addition, she was the assistant coach at Cuyamaca College and helped the Coyotes come back from a 2-22 record to a season-ending 11-15 overall mark in 2018. Her experience also includes coaching junior varsity and varsity girls high school volleyball where she helped lead Centennial High School in Corona to one its first CIF appearances.
Andrew earned her MA in English-Literature from CSU Northridge (2013), and her BA in English from the University of La Verne (2011). She is currently working on her Master’s of Science in Coaching and Exercise Science at CUI.
She is wife to Kenneth and Mom to two boys, Nolan and Wyatt. She also roots for the Dodgers, Lakers, and Chargers and spends free time tending to the family's COVID cultivated garden!
