This is Makayla Wolfe's first full year as a graduate assistant with the women's volleyball team at Concordia.
Wolfe graduated from UC Irvine in 2020 after majoring in educational sciences. She played all four years at UCI on the women's volleyball team as a middle blocker. Makayla began her college career in 2016 at UC Irvine and in 2016 she recorded 37 kills including a season high vs Cal Poly. In 2017 she led the team in blocking with a 0.84 blocks per set and fired 15 aces. In 2018 she played in 105 sets and averaged 2.05 kills per set including a season high 15 kills vs Long Beach State. She was second on the team in blocks with a 0.89 blocks per set average. Makayla started playing club when she was 12 and won Junior National Championship gold medals in 2011 and 2012 and captured a bronze in 2014. 
Wolfe played at Santiago High School as a varsity starter all four years. In addition, Makayla was a four-time All-Big 8 League honoree. She was named a Senior Ace by PrepVolleyball.com and was ranked No. 93 after having earned a top 50 juniors designation. Makayla was also a 3-time Ayala All-Tournament honoree.
She’s Santiago High School’s all-time leader in blocks and hitting percentage, boasting a .599 clip which ranked among the Top 5 in the nation. Makayla also won a CIF title and advanced to the state finals in 2013 and was a CIF runner-up in 2015. Her team won the league title 2012-2015.

 

She is currently in the master's program for athletic coaching and administration (MCAA program) at Concordia.
