Concordia Irvine Athletics

Valerie Sizemore joined the Eagles Track & Field coaching staff in the spring of 2016.  Sizemore specializes in the high jump for the Eagle's track and field program.  She is also currently the head cross country and track and field coach at Pacifica Christian High School located in Newport Beach, California. 

She tutored Josh Fry to an indoor school record in the high jump in 2016.

Sizemore attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) and competed on their NCAA Division I Track and Field and Cross Country teams. She received her Bachelors of Business Administration and achieved Cum Laude honors during her tenure at SMU. There she was fortunate enough to have helped achieve two Conference USA Team Championships, attain six top 15 finishes in both the indoor and outdoor C-USA Championships, as well as earn the Conference USA Scholar-Athlete Award four years in a row. 

Sizemore currently lives in Newport Beach with her husband, Michael. The two of them attend Viewpoint Church and have a puppy named, Dallas. Sizemore is also pursuing her AAA status in competitive beach volleyball.
